Renee – The original owner.
Renee’s Cat and Dog Gift Shop is not a new business. It has been around for over 25 years. However, the owners of the business are new. On a chance visit to Renee’s during the Fall of 2014, Gordon Behm and Andy Kyriakoutsakos discovered that the business was for sale. Something “clicked” and the current owners decided to purchase the business as a way for them to gradually “retire” and move away from their fast paced business world jobs. However, they discovered that the owner at that time was named Marlene, so the question remained “Why was the business named, Renee’s?” The answer was provided by Marlene reporting that Renee was her mother, who originally started the business. When Gordon and Andy purchased the business they decided to keep the name “Renee’s” and even now have a photo of Renee behind the checkout counter.
Renee’s Cat and Dog Gift Shop is now owned and operated by Gordon Behm and Andy Kyriakoutsakos whose love and affection for their pets and the possibility of owning and operating their own business made it an easy decision and a wonderful fit for owning and operating a business in Wells, Maine. Our Pets Gone But Never Forgotten ~ R.I.P.
 Jethro the Maine Coon Cat has sadly passed away on Labor Day 2024. He always brought us great joy and will be dearly missed. |
 Foxy is in our hearts forever and that is where he shall always stay. |
 Rainy recently passed away in June 2023. The time they spend with us is priceless and we are forever grateful for that time. |
 Brezy sadly passed away in February 2020. It is never easy to lose a member of the family. |
 Gordy passed away in March 2020. Gordy received much love and we will miss him dearly. |
 Our precious Jewel gave us so much love and happiness. So precious! |
 Crystal we will treasure your memory forever! Often missed but never forgotten. |

 Blink passed in March 2017. We will always remember the joy that Blink gave to us. |
 Our dearest companions sometimes come with four legs. In loving memory of Corny who will always be with us. |
